The Autoimmune Plant Based Cookbook

Wholeness for Life began in 2019 with the publishing of a cookbook, the Autoimmune Plant Based Cookbook. This cookbook has beautiful photos throughout and includes a 7 day meal plan, where the reader will see foods that compose a healthy breakfast and lunch for 7 days.

The recipes in this cookbook use whole food plant-based ingredients that allow the leaky gut to heal because they are 1) less likely to be cause food sensitivities and 2) easier to digest.  Ingredients are also soaked/sprouted which also increases nutrient content and availability.  It can be accessed at WholenessMarket.com

This cookbook is the textbook for our two online courses, the Autoimmune Recovery Plan and MedMissionary.

About Our Courses

The Autoimmune Recovery Plan

The Story

The Autoimmune Recovery Plan is an online course by Dr. Joyce Choe, a medical doctor,  and Mercy Ballard, RN, the founder of the Years Restored Lifestyle center. The Autoimmune Recovery Plan teaches a more therapeutic and antiinflammatory plant based approach to healing and preventing disease than what is taught by most in the plant-based community.  It also teaches simple changes that you can make in your lifestyle and natural remedies that will speed your recovery.
  1. Eat plant-based foods that are high in nutrition.
  2. Soak and sprout seeds, legumes, grains, and nuts to decrease anti-nutrients and to increase nutrient availability.
  3. How to avoid high-risk GMO foods and Glyphosate.
  4. Minimize exposure to plastics and other chemicals.

Who Should Take This Course

All who would like to give their body the  opportunity to defeat autoimmune conditions and other chronic illnesses using a combination of healing foods and natural therapies.

About the Course

  • The Therapeutic Plan is the first phase of the program. Most people are very inflamed when they are first diagnosed and will not respond to simply removing one or two foods from their diet. This initial plan outlines a plant based elimination diet that excludes grains, nuts and nightshades, in addition to eliminating foods that are more commonly associated with food sensitivities.
  • The Maintenance Plan expands upon the initial therapeutic plan and allows for the slow addition of various grains and nuts and for the use of nightshades, as tolerated.
  • Health Lectures that provide the science behind the Autoimmune Recovery Plan in two Lecture series: Health and The Laws of Health.
  • Natural Remedies videos that demonstrate how and when to use natural remedies for specific conditions.
  • Weekly Question and Answer Sessions for members to ask any questions and get answers! These weekly live sessions will be archived for later viewing.
  • Forever Content. This content will be available to you as long as the internet is around.

The Course is Faith Based

While science should be based on honest observation and collection of data, the reality is that even in the analysis of scientific data, human bias and individual paradigm play a significant role.

Evolutionary medicine is the most commonly used paradigm and teaches that humans should eat as hunters and gatherers, according to how they evolved.

The developers of this course use a Creation paradigm to shed light on potentially controversial or conflicting results in scientific research. This course teaches Bible principles and educates how humans were designed to function.

Med Missionary

The Story

Med Missionary was started by Dr. Joyce Choe and Mercy Ballard RN in the summer of 2020. The world drastically changed in 2020 and the founders saw the societal consequence of depending on an overtaxed medical system to carry the load in a global health crisis.

The health principles used by Seventh-day Adventist Christians have helped prepare people to effectively handle health crises. The historical stance of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church is that it is according to Biblical principle to teach families how to take care of themselves when sick, using simple and safe methods that are accessible to all.

This course deals heavily with diet, specifically a diet that helps heal the digestive system and improves the immune system function. The dietary principles are those found in the Autoimmune Recovery Plan. The basics of what the dietary aspect of the course teaches are to:

The course also teaches simple lifestyle changes and helpful remedies that will speed recovery.

The intention is that the student will learn the principles and gain the experience of improved health themselves. This experience can then be used to help others. Our course graduates go on to become missionaries who will participate in the gospel commission to relieve suffering and to restore the image of God in humanity.

Who Should Take This Course

We have graduated many people who have used this information to do health coaching, lifestyle medicine, as well as missionary work. There are many who have taken this course to learn information to help others and have found that the health practices implemented have relieved their own health issues.

These principles have helped people who have suffered from disabilities from autoimmune disease, long-haul Covid and vaccine injury. We believe that we will see much more of these conditions in the future and believe that God’s people should prepare to help provide solutions to the problem of death and disease, especially in the midst of a global health crisis.

We would recommend that those who take this course be ready to implement the principles learned here during the 6-8 week period of time, for maximal value.

The Course is designed for Seventh-day Adventists

However, we have welcomed and continue to welcome those of other denominations to take the course! The developers of this course use a Creation paradigm to educate about the subject of health and believe that health objectives will be attained more successfully when humans understand how they were designed to function. Registrants should be respectful of a Creation paradigm.
